GRANT JACOBS BIO

Grant Jacobs comes from a fourth generation San Francisco family and has lived in San Francisco most all of his life. He enjoys traveling all over the world. He loves visiting Nepal,Tibet, India, and Central America and draws great inspiration from his travels. He also has a home in Mexico where he goes often to relax and replenish his creative energy.

Grant went straight from high school to the Haight Ashbury. He acquired his first camera at the age of 15 and from that point on, there was no stopping him from taking pictures.Grant took pictures of just about every rock star of the 60's including Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison, just to name a few. Grant also has many photographs of unknown people of the 60's. He also has many photographs from his many travels to Asia, Central and Latin America.

These days you will most likely find Grant in his dark room. Grant has a great ability to capture the essence of a place and its people. He also is an excellent wedding/ special event photographer who is able to really convey the mood of your special event.
